About Me

I believe that when we weave words together into a story, they create blankets of meanings we can wrap ourselves in to safely explore our world that can be otherwise so unforgiving. We can't live without stories to guide us, let us escape, or remind us of the magic that lives within us that makes ordinary things breathtaking again.
My writing journey began in 2015 when I decided to dabble in the black craft that is blogging. It took a more serious turn at the start of 2019 when I was accepted into the Master of Creative writing program at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. There's still so much for me to learn, but hopefully, with practice, my blankets of words will become less wonky and more cozy for more people.

My friends call me Lifa, but the work I've published so far has been under my legal name, Celine Perczynski.

Brief History of the Blood Curse

June 17, 2019

I submitted a flash fiction to the Quarry Journal, which was accepted and published on their website.

It's a very brief story inspired by my bloody painful periods.

My Movie Hero is One Laugh Away

March 16, 2016

I was first published in print in the 2016 University of Sydney Student Anthology. It's an incredible feeling, seeing your name printed in a book, especially as a non-native English speaker and international student.

If you click on the image below, it will take to the University of Sydney's website, where you can buy the anthology and browse other people's work.
